Vanilla Strawberry™ Panicle Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata ‘Renhy’) is a deciduous flowering shrub admired for its enormous, cone-shaped flower clusters and striking seasonal color changes. The abundant panicles emerge creamy white in midsummer, gradually develop soft pink tones, and finally deepen to rich strawberry red. Because flowers mature at different stages, the shrub can display multiple colors simultaneously, creating a distinctive combination of white, pink, and red.
This ornamental hydrangea develops an upright, bushy growth habit with strong, reddish stems that support its substantial flower clusters. Under favorable conditions, the strawberry-red flower coloration can remain attractive for approximately 3–4 weeks. Compared with Pinky Winky® Hydrangea, Vanilla Strawberry™ is known for its fuller flower panicles and prolonged red coloration. It blooms on new wood and provides seasonal interest from midsummer into fall. Its upright form makes it suitable for foundation plantings, flowering hedges, mixed shrub borders, specimen plantings, and ornamental landscape beds. It performs best in full sun to partial shade and prefers fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture.
Each order includes 1 live Vanilla Strawberry™ Panicle Hydrangea shrub supplied in a 3-gallon nursery container. The plant is rooted and container-grown. Flower color and flowering stage vary naturally with the season and growing conditions. As a deciduous shrub, it may arrive dormant, leafless, recently pruned, or without flowers.
