Sensation® Sky Blue Meadow Sage (Salvia nemorosa ‘Sensation Sky Blue’) is a compact, clump-forming flowering perennial admired for its blue-violet flower spikes, aromatic green foliage, and tidy growth habit. This ornamental meadow sage adds cool-toned color and vertical texture to sunny perennial borders, cottage gardens, pollinator plantings, and decorative outdoor containers.
During late spring and summer, Sensation® Sky Blue Meadow Sage produces upright spikes of small, sky-blue to lavender-blue flowers. The blossoms appear above dense green foliage, creating a colorful contrast and attracting visiting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Additional flowering may occur later in the growing season under favorable conditions. Its naturally compact form makes it suitable for grouped plantings, garden edging, and smaller landscape spaces.
Sensation® Sky Blue Meadow Sage performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. It prefers moderate watering during establishment and can tolerate some dry conditions once established. Its upright flower spikes and mounding foliage provide seasonal interest in rock gardens, mixed perennial beds, and patio containers. As an herbaceous perennial, it may die back to the ground during winter and resume growth in spring.
Each order includes 1 live Sensation® Sky Blue Meadow Sage supplied in a 1-gallon nursery pot (G1).
