Princeton Sentry™ Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba ‘Princeton Sentry’) is a distinctive deciduous ornamental tree valued for its narrow, upright branching habit, attractive fan-shaped leaves, and brilliant golden-yellow autumn foliage. This male ginkgo cultivar is especially useful in landscapes where a more columnar tree form is preferred, including narrow planting areas, formal gardens, and architectural landscape designs.
During spring and summer, Princeton Sentry™ Ginkgo produces fresh green, fan-shaped leaves with the characteristic divided or notched appearance associated with ginkgo trees. In autumn, the foliage typically changes to a rich golden-yellow color before dropping for winter. Its upright, relatively compact branching pattern creates a strong vertical accent in garden settings. As a male cultivar, Princeton Sentry™ is selected for its lack of the fleshy, odor-producing seeds associated with female ginkgo trees.
Princeton Sentry™ Ginkgo performs best in full sun and adapts to a range of soil conditions, provided adequate drainage is available. Once established, it generally tolerates urban growing conditions and occasional dry periods. Its upright form makes it suitable for specimen plantings, formal landscape accents, and locations where a narrow ornamental tree is desired.
Each order includes 1 live Princeton Sentry™ Ginkgo tree supplied in a 2-gallon nursery container (G2).
Approx. 36 inches tall at time of shipping.
