Perpetua® Blueberry (Vaccinium ‘Perpetua’) is a compact, ornamental fruiting shrub valued for its ability to produce two blueberry harvests in a growing season under suitable conditions. Part of the Bushel and Berry® collection, this distinctive blueberry features attractive green foliage, delicate spring flowers, and edible blue fruit. Its upright, compact growth habit makes it suitable for edible landscapes, patio containers, small gardens, and mixed shrub borders.
In spring, Perpetua® Blueberry produces small, white, bell-shaped flowers that develop into sweet, edible blueberries during summer. Unlike many traditional blueberry cultivars, Perpetua® can flower again on new growth, producing a second crop in late summer to fall when growing conditions are favorable. Its foliage may develop attractive red and burgundy tones during autumn, adding seasonal ornamental interest.
Perpetua® Blueberry performs best in full sun to partial shade and prefers acidic, organically rich, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. It is generally considered self-fertile, although nearby compatible blueberry varieties may improve pollination and fruit production. This deciduous perennial shrub naturally loses its leaves and enters dormancy during colder months.
Each order includes 1 live Perpetua® Blueberry supplied in a 1-gallon nursery container (G1).
