Paraplu Violet® Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus Paraplu Violet®) is a deciduous flowering shrub admired for its exceptionally large, cool blue-violet blossoms and graceful, upright growth habit. This Proven Winners® selection produces distinctive flowers with softly blended violet-blue petals that appear especially luminous in the gentle light of morning and evening. Its unusual flower coloration creates a striking focal point in sunny garden landscapes.

Blooming from summer into early fall, Paraplu Violet® Rose of Sharon provides seasonal color when many spring-flowering shrubs have finished blooming. The large, showy flowers contrast beautifully with its green foliage and attract visiting pollinators. This ornamental shrub performs best in full sun, tolerates partial shade, and adapts to a range of well-drained soil conditions. Its upright, bushy habit makes it suitable for flowering borders, specimen plantings, mixed shrub gardens, and ornamental landscape designs.

Each order includes 1 live Paraplu Violet® Rose of Sharon shrub supplied in a 3-gallon nursery container. The plant is approximately 18 inches tall at the time of shipping. As a deciduous shrub, it naturally loses its leaves during fall and enters winter dormancy. Depending on seasonal conditions, plants may arrive leafless, recently pruned, or without flowers.
