Paraplu Adorned® Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus ‘Minpapan1’) is a deciduous ornamental shrub valued for its large, showy summer flowers and attractive green foliage. Its distinctive blossoms feature soft pink and white petals accented by a rich reddish-pink center, creating a colorful display in garden borders, foundation plantings, flowering hedges, and mixed shrub landscapes.
Throughout summer and into early fall, Paraplu Adorned® Rose of Sharon produces abundant hibiscus-like flowers with broad, overlapping petals and contrasting central coloration. The flowers attract attention in the landscape and may be visited by bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Its upright, bushy branching habit provides structure and seasonal flowering interest in sunny garden settings.
Paraplu Adorned® Rose of Sharon performs best in full sun and prefers fertile, well-drained soil with moderate moisture. Once established, it can tolerate some dry conditions. As a deciduous flowering shrub, it naturally loses its leaves during autumn and remains dormant through winter before producing fresh growth in spring.
