Norway Spruce (Picea abies) is a hardy, fast-growing evergreen conifer known for its dense green needles, classic pyramidal shape, and year-round landscape appeal. Native to Europe, this ornamental spruce is commonly used in spacious residential landscapes, evergreen screens, windbreaks, and naturalized plantings. Its strong branching structure and rich green foliage provide texture and greenery throughout the seasons.
This evergreen develops a naturally upright, conical growth habit with horizontal branches that may become gracefully pendulous as the tree develops. Its short, pointed green needles remain on the branches throughout the year, providing consistent color even during winter. Norway Spruce produces woody cones as it matures, adding to its traditional conifer appearance.
Norway Spruce grows best in full sun and prefers well-drained, moderately moist soil. Once established, it has some drought tolerance, although prolonged dry conditions can cause stress. It is well suited to cooler climates and locations with sufficient space for its naturally spreading branches. Its evergreen foliage and relatively fast growth make it a practical choice for large landscape plantings.
Each order includes 1 live Norway Spruce supplied in a 2-gallon nursery container (G2).
