Gibraltar Exbury Azalea – 1 Live Flowering Shrub, 3-Gallon Size – Rhododendron ‘Gibraltar’

Gibraltar Exbury Azalea (Rhododendron ‘Gibraltar’) is a deciduous flowering shrub admired for its vibrant flame-orange blossoms. Part of the Exbury hybrid azalea group, this cultivar produces showy flower clusters with distinctly ruffled petals, creating a colorful spring display in ornamental gardens.

The brilliant orange flowers emerge in late spring, often as the plant's green foliage begins developing. Its upright, branching growth habit makes it suitable for woodland edges, mixed shrub borders, foundation plantings, and landscape groupings. As a deciduous azalea, Gibraltar naturally sheds its leaves during autumn and remains dormant through winter.

Gibraltar Azalea performs best in partial sun to partial shade and prefers acidic, organically rich, well-drained soil. Consistent moisture is beneficial, particularly during establishment, while protection from intense afternoon sun can help preserve foliage quality in warmer climates.

This listing includes 1 live Gibraltar Exbury Azalea in the 3-gallon size category, with a seller-provided measurement of 15 inches. The measurement has not been identified specifically as shipping height and should be verified before publication.

Botanical Identification Note: The supplier's abbreviation “Azalea Ex. ‘Gibraltar’” refers to Rhododendron ‘Gibraltar’, a deciduous Exbury hybrid azalea. “G3” is interpreted as the supplied 3-gallon nursery size category.
