Forever Emerald Inkberry Holly 1 Live Evergreen Shrub, 3 Gallon Pot – Ilex glabra

Forever Emerald Inkberry Holly (Ilex glabra Forever Emerald) is a broadleaf evergreen shrub valued for its rich green foliage, naturally dense branching, and full, rounded growth habit. Unlike some inkberry hollies that may develop sparse foliage near their lower branches, Forever Emerald is noted for maintaining a well-filled appearance from the upper canopy to the base of the plant. Its small, glossy green leaves provide year-round texture and color, making it an attractive choice for structured and naturalistic landscapes.

This inkberry holly is particularly useful for evergreen borders, foundation plantings, low hedges, and mass plantings where a consistent, leafy appearance is desired. Forever Emerald rarely produces fruit, allowing its dense evergreen foliage to remain the primary ornamental feature. It generally performs best in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, acidic, well-drained soil. As a selection of Ilex glabra, it is also suitable for native-inspired landscapes within the species' natural range.
