Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus ‘Blue Chiffon’) is a deciduous flowering shrub admired for its elegant blue blossoms and distinctive semi-double flower form. Its soft blue petals surround a delicate, lacy center of lighter lavender-blue petaloids, creating a layered appearance that adds texture and color to ornamental landscapes. This Proven Winners® selection is especially attractive in flowering borders, mixed shrub gardens, and specimen plantings.
Blooming abundantly from July through September, Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon provides an extended display of summer flowers. Its upright, bushy growth habit and green foliage create an attractive backdrop for the blue-lavender blossoms. This hardy shrub performs best in full sun but tolerates partial shade and adapts to a range of well-drained soil conditions. It is suitable for flowering hedges, cottage gardens, pollinator-friendly landscapes, and decorative outdoor planting areas.
Each order includes 1 live Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon shrub supplied in a 3-gallon nursery container. The plant is approximately 18 inches tall at the time of shipping. As a deciduous shrub, it naturally loses its leaves during fall and enters winter dormancy. Depending on the season, plants may arrive leafless, recently pruned, or without flowers.
