Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus ‘Blue Chiffon’) is a deciduous flowering shrub cultivated in an elegant patio tree form. This Proven Winners® selection is known for its distinctive semi-double blue flowers with delicate, lacy centers of lighter lavender-blue petals. The layered blossoms create a soft, ornamental appearance that adds color and texture to patios, entryways, courtyards, and garden landscapes.
Flowering abundantly from July through September, Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon provides a prolonged display of blue-lavender blooms against attractive green foliage. This specimen is trained into a patio tree form, featuring a defined central trunk supporting an ornamental flowering canopy rather than the naturally multi-stemmed habit of a standard Rose of Sharon shrub. It performs best in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Its decorative structure makes it suitable for large outdoor containers, landscape focal points, and ornamental garden accents.
Each order includes 1 live Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon patio tree supplied in a 3-gallon nursery container. The tree is approximately 30 inches tall at the time of shipping. As a deciduous plant, it naturally loses its leaves during fall and enters winter dormancy. Depending on the season, it may arrive leafless, recently pruned, or without flowers.
