Black Bat Flower – 2 Exact Live Starter Plants, 2-Inch Size – Tacca chantrieri

This listing includes 2 exact Black Bat Flower live starter plants in the 2-inch nursery pot size category. You will receive the specific plants shown in the listing photographs. Because these are living plants, they may gain or lose leaves or develop additional growth between photography and shipment. The plants' appearance may therefore differ slightly from the original photographs.

Black Bat Flower, botanically known as Tacca chantrieri, is a tropical perennial recognized for its unusual, dark-colored inflorescences. Its flowers are surrounded by broad, winglike bracts and long, threadlike structures that create a distinctive bat-shaped appearance. The plant also produces broad green foliage that contributes to its ornamental appearance.

This tropical understory plant generally prefers filtered light, warm temperatures, high humidity, and a loose, well-draining growing medium that retains some moisture. It is suitable for indoor tropical plant collections, humid growing environments, and protected containers. These are young starter plants, and flowering is not guaranteed at the time of shipment.

Shipping Clarification:

The final Shipping Notice confirms that the plants are shipped bare root without nursery pots. This takes precedence over the earlier statement indicating shipment in a pot.

These are starter plants that may not be fully rooted throughout a 2-inch nursery pot. The final shipping method is bare root, without nursery pots.

Plant Condition Disclosure:

Live plants may be shipped dormant, leafless, recently pruned, bare root, or partially defoliated depending on season, weather, and shipping requirements.

Natural variation in size, branching, foliage density, color, root structure, and overall appearance should be expected.

Important Note:

You will receive a live starter plant (seedling/young plant). Listing photos show the plant at a mature stage for reference only. The actual plant size, shape, and appearance may vary and will be significantly smaller than the images shown.

Live plants may experience normal shipping stress such as leaf loss, yellowing, wilting, or minor branch damage.

Please consider local weather before purchasing. Extreme heat, freezing temperatures, severe weather, shipping delays, or unattended packages may increase plant stress.
