2 Ludisia discolor (Jewel Orchid) Starter Plants – Bare Root – Ludisia discolor

Grow one of the most distinctive foliage orchids with this set of 2 Ludisia discolor starter plants, commonly known as the Jewel Orchid. Unlike many orchids grown primarily for their flowers, Ludisia discolor is prized for its velvety dark green to burgundy leaves highlighted by shimmering pink to copper-colored veins. It is an excellent choice for terrariums, indoor plant collections, and shaded containers.

This listing includes two (2) tissue culture-grown starter plants originally grown in 2-inch nursery pots. Please note these are starter plants inserted into 2-inch pots and are not fully rooted into the pots. Jewel Orchids naturally develop roots very slowly. These plants may have very small or lightly developed root systems, which is normal for this species at this stage of growth. They are not cuttings and have been propagated through tissue culture. Plants are shipped bare root with their original soil pods carefully wrapped to protect the developing roots during transit. Please do not remove or disturb the soil pod upon arrival. The 2-inch nursery pots are not included.

You will receive healthy plants similar to those shown in the listing photos. As with all live plants, natural variation in foliage color, venation, and growth habit should be expected.
