These are live starter plants with fully established root systems. You will receive smaller starter plants similar to those shown in the listing photos. Natural variation in leaf shape, size, color, and overall appearance is normal.

Alocasia are sensitive to shipping, and some leaf yellowing or leaf loss may occur during transit. This is a normal response to shipping stress. Alocasia are rhizomatous plants that grow from underground corms (bulbs), allowing them to produce new foliage even if leaves are lost during shipping.

Each starter plant is carefully wrapped and shipped bare root in a protective soil pod. Plants are grown in 2-inch nursery pots during cultivation, but the nursery pots are not included. Please do not remove or disturb the soil pod upon arrival, as it helps protect the established root system and minimizes transplant stress.
