Scarlet Fire™ Chinese Dogwood (Cornus kousa ‘Hanros’) is a deciduous ornamental tree known for its vibrant pink-red floral bracts, elegant branching habit, and attractive seasonal foliage. This cultivated selection of Kousa dogwood produces a striking floral display in late spring to early summer, making it a distinctive specimen tree for residential landscapes, ornamental gardens, and mixed tree and shrub borders.

During flowering, Scarlet Fire™ Chinese Dogwood develops numerous deep pink to reddish-pink bracts surrounding small central flowers. These colorful bracts create the appearance of large, showy blossoms and stand out against the tree’s green foliage. As the season progresses, the foliage provides an attractive backdrop for the developing fruit, while autumn brings shades of red and burgundy. Rounded, berry-like fruits may develop after flowering and add further seasonal interest.

Scarlet Fire™ Chinese Dogwood performs best in full sun to partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. It prefers soil that is slightly acidic and benefits from protection against prolonged drought. Its ornamental flowers, attractive branching structure, and seasonal color make it suitable for specimen plantings, lawn accents, woodland edges, and landscaped garden beds.

Each order includes 1 live Scarlet Fire™ Chinese Dogwood tree supplied in a 2-gallon nursery pot (G2).
