Iceberg Alley® Willow (Salix candida ‘Jefberg’) is a compact deciduous ornamental shrub admired for its soft, powdery silver foliage and naturally rounded growth habit. This cultivated selection of hoary willow provides distinctive texture and contrast in mixed shrub borders, ornamental landscapes, and naturalistic garden designs. Its silvery leaves create a striking visual effect when planted alongside shrubs with green, burgundy, or dark-colored foliage.
Throughout the growing season, Iceberg Alley® Willow produces narrow, silvery leaves covered with fine, soft hairs that give the foliage its characteristic powdery appearance. In spring, the shrub may develop ornamental catkins, adding seasonal interest before or during leaf emergence. Its compact, bushy habit makes it suitable for grouped plantings, landscape accents, and ornamental shrub combinations. The silver foliage remains its primary decorative feature throughout the growing season.
Iceberg Alley® Willow performs best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Unlike many drought-tolerant ornamental shrubs, this willow prefers consistent soil moisture and is well suited to landscapes where adequate water is available. It can also tolerate periodically wet soil conditions. Its compact growth habit makes it suitable for mixed borders, moisture-retentive garden beds, and appropriately sized outdoor containers. As a deciduous shrub, it naturally loses its foliage during winter.
Each order includes 1 live Iceberg Alley® Willow supplied in a 3-gallon nursery pot (G3).
